Run Down This Fall: Electro-Dermal Screening in St. Cloud, MN Is a Gentle Place to Start

Dark mornings, tighter schedules, and a long winter ahead. What electro-dermal screening is, what it is not, and why fall is a sensible season to start.

The light changes first. By early October the mornings in St. Cloud are dark when the alarm goes off, the drive home happens at dusk, and everyone in the house seems to be dragging a little more than they were in August.

For some people that is simply the season. For others it is the point where something that has been building all year becomes hard to ignore, and that is often when they start looking into electro-dermal screening in St. Cloud, MN.

If that is where you are, here is what we do at Stepping Stone Natural Health.

What electro-dermal screening is

Electro-dermal screening, usually shortened to EDS, is a non-invasive way of gathering information about your body. A small probe is held against acupuncture points on your hands while you hold a brass rod. Nothing breaks the skin, nothing is drawn, and the process is painless, which is why it is suitable for every age, including infants.

We want to be plain about one thing: electro-dermal screening is not a medical test, and it does not diagnose or treat disease. It is a starting point for a conversation about nutrition, daily habits, and natural support.

Why fall is a sensible time to start

Autumn changes how we live, and bodies notice. The schedule tightens around school and sports. Meals get faster and heavier. We are outdoors less and under lights more. Sleep slides later while mornings stay early.

Then there is what is ahead. A central Minnesota winter is long, and most of us would rather go into it feeling steady than spend it running on empty.

What we offer

Evaluations are done in person at our St. Cloud clinic. From what the screening shows, we move into personalized nutrition counseling and health education, in plain language rather than medical jargon. If something specific would support what we found, supplements and wellness products are available here at the clinic. What you choose to act on is up to you.

Our pricing is simple and transparent, and we do not bill insurance, so there are no claims to chase and no surprise statements in January.

If you cannot make it to the clinic

Central Minnesota winters have a way of making any drive feel optional. For anyone who cannot come to us, whether that is distance, weather, or health, we offer a mail-in hair sample evaluation. You send a small sample, we evaluate it, and we go over the findings with you.

A family practice since 2003

Kathy Hagemeister opened Stepping Stone in 2003. Her daughter-in-law, Sara Hagemeister, runs it today. Both are Certified Natural Health Professionals, and Kathy is also a Certified EDS Technician. Two generations of the same family have now sat across from St. Cloud neighbors for more than twenty years.

If more than one person in your household needs to be seen, ask about our family package discounts. They make it realistic to look at everyone rather than choosing one person to focus on.
